This summer, Mountbatten Isle of Wight’s award-winning Chelsea Garden will come alive with yellow and orange ribbons, each one dedicated to the memory of a loved one. Remembering with Ribbons is a chance to honour those we love who have died while supporting the vital work of Mountbatten Isle of Wight.

From 4 July to 31 August, you’re invited to tie a ribbon in memory of someone you miss. Whether you attend our special celebration event on Sunday, 20 July, or visit at a time that suits you, Remembering with Ribbons offers a meaningful way to reflect and remember.

Read on to find out how you can dedicate a ribbon to your loved one.

Debs' story: A ribbon for Simon

For Debs Goodenough, Remembering with Ribbons is a way to honour her husband, Simon, who was cared for by Mountbatten Isle of Wight. “Tying a ribbon in Mountbatten’s garden is a way to remember Simon, to say his name, and feel connected to others who are also remembering someone they love,” Debs says.

Simon’s story is a testament to the compassionate care Mountbatten provides—not just for patients but for their families, too.
