How to take part in Randonnee 2026 with Mountbatten Isle of Wight

**People who preregistered currently have access to sign-up, before general sign-up opens on Friday, 5 June, at 9am.**
  • Limited spaces are available and Randonnee will cost £15 per person. This goes towards staging the event.
  • Riders are encouraged to pledge to raise raise at least £250 in sponsorship. This goes towards Mountbatten's 24/7 expert and compassionate care, 85 per cent of which is delivered in homes across the Isle of Wight, with the rest is through our inpatient unit, outpatient and day services.

Here's why you will cycle the Isle of Wight Randonnee with Mountbatten on Sunday, 6 September 2026

Moving the event from its traditional May bank holiday weekend will allow our team to deliver a safer and more enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

September brings quieter roads, less congestion and, for those travelling to the Island, the possibility of more-affordable ferry crossings.

We know this change of date won’t suit everyone, but we have worked closely with the current Randonnee committee to give the event the best chance to grow and thrive, as a community‑focused fundraising ride, rather than seeing it disappear from the calendar altogether.

What should you know about the 2026 Randonnee with Mountbatten Isle of Wight

The 100km route follows quieter Island roads and lanes wherever possible.

Check in points are open between 9am and 6pm

Check points along the route include:

  • East Cowes
  • Wootton
  • Bembridge
  • Alverstone
  • Watcome Bottom, Ventnor Rugby Club
  • Yarmouth

We look forward to welcoming you to the start line, in September!
