Schools Walk the Wight 2026 is here — and we want YOUR school to win!

Join us for an adventure that's part challenge, part celebration, and 100% fun. Walk, dance, scoot, skip, swim — however you move, it counts!

Here's the mission:
Cover 22 miles over the next few months (30 minutes of activity = 1 mile), then join us on Sunday, 10 May, for the final four-mile walk from Freshwater to Alum Bay. Together, you'll be raising vital funds for Island families cared for by Mountbatten Isle of Wight.

The prize?
A stunning custom medal designed by a young artist — plus bragging rights and the Schools Walk trophy for your school!

Need inspiration?
In 2025, Carisbrooke CE Primary School smashed it with £3,435.90 in sponsorship. Can your school go even further?

Who will win the Schools Walk trophy?

In 2025, pupils from Carisbrooke CE Primary School raised an incredible £3,435.90 in sponsorship!

Who will raise the most this year and win the trophy for their school?

Walk, scoot, dance or jump!

Here's how Schools Walk the Wight 2026 with Mountbatten Isle of Wight works:

30 minutes of activity = 1 Walk the Wight mile

Complete 22 miles by 10 May — and we don't mind how you do it! Swim, dance, run, walk, skip, scoot... the choice is yours. As long as you're moving and having fun, it counts.

Then join us on Sunday, 10 May for the grand finale: walk four miles from Freshwater to Alum Bay and cross that finish line together!
