Over £500,000 has been has been raised by Walk the Wight 2025 for Mountbatten Isle of Wight, it has been revealed.

At a special celebration event at the hospice, on Wednesday, July 16, the incredible fundraising total was announced as £515,000.

This ginormous achievement is expected to grow even further, as final sponsorship and donations roll in.

Walk the Wight organisers, Ashleigh Gibbs, said: "This is an incredible achievement by thousands of amazing supporters. Thank you for taking part, thank you for donating and thank you for making Walk the Wight 2025 such a huge success."

The annual iconic fundraiser, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary, took place on 11 May.

This year, around nine thousand people took on one of four routes, walking up to 26 miles across the Island's beautiful countryside. People also walked the Wight their way, by completing sessions in Mountbatten Isle of Wight's gym.

At a celebration event, where the running total was revealed, music was provided by the Mountbatten Isle of Wight Community Choir, who sang ‘Walk the Wight With You’ (penned by Mountbatten music ambassador, Mike Christie, from G4). Attendees included long-term fundraisers and volunteers.
