The iconic event has been named Best Island Event at a ceremony at Northwood House in Cowes. We are so grateful for your continued support – whether you’re an individual walker, a group, a volunteer, a caterer, an entertainer, part of our road safety team, a landowner who lets us set our iconic course and everyone in between. Walk the Wight organisers Ashleigh Gibbs and Megan King at the Red Funnel Awards 2025 Walk the Wight involves around ten thousand participants and hundreds of volunteers, and it covers a route of over 26 miles, from Bembridge to The Needles Pleasure Park, at Alum Bay. Did you take on the flat walk, from Sandown to Shide, this year? 2025’s Schools Walk raised over £48,000 – a record-breaking amount for this event. Maybe you walked the Wight your way, or were one of the people we support and who took part in our John Cheverton Centre gym’s version of Walk the Wight. Together, you raised more than £535,000!
