On Saturday 8 November, new Mountbatten Isle of Wight CEO, Becky McGregor, will take on ZipFire, soaring above Robin Hill before spectacular fireworks light up the Island’s skies.

Becky is among dozens of brave fundraisers preparing to ‘fly’ 300 metres across the night sky, starting from 25m above the ground, while fire cannon blaze.

Sponsored by Reno Drain and working with media partner Isle of Wight Radio, an amazing evening of entertainment is promised at Fireworks With Mountbatten Isle of Wight, which includes our ZipFire challenge.

If you aren’t zipping, there will be plenty to keep you entertained in the run up to the big firework finale.

Enjoy entertainment from the New Carnival Company, Raw Samba and DJs. The Isle of Wight Radio team will also be on stage and fabulous food will be served up by a host of street food stalls.

Helen Hirons will be taking on ZipFire for the second year running. She said: “I am forever grateful to Mountbatten, not only for the care its team provided my late husband but also their support for me, our son and other family members. Mountbatten’s staff and volunteers are wonderful and taking part in ZipFire is just a small action to try and help raise vital funds.”
