Where: John Cheverton Centre at Mountbatten Hospice, Halberry Lane, NewportWho: Open to all and completely free. Voluntary donations to Mountbatten Isle of Wight are welcome but not required. No experience needed No need to read music A warm and inclusive environment With a vibrant membership of around 70 people, we sing a variety of uplifting songs, from modern pop favourites to traditional tunes and chants from around the world. Most importantly, we prioritise fun and community over perfection. Why sing? Singing is for everyone, and it comes with incredible benefits! It’s a great aerobic exercise, promotes deep breathing, and releases feel-good endorphins. Singing can reduce stress, boost confidence, and bring a sense of positivity. Plus, it’s a wonderful way to meet new people and build connections. About Mountbatten Isle of Wight's community choir Mountbatten Isle of Wight's Community Choir began in January 2017 and is now led by Francis Griffiths. While our weekly rehearsals are the heart of the choir, we also share our love of music by performing at Mountbatten fundraising events and concerts across the Isle of Wight. Come along!
