Duncan’s areas of responsibility are quality of services offered by Mountbatten both in clinical and non-clinical setting. He oversees reporting, data analytics, estates, health and safety, and clinical administration. He is Mountbatten’s information governance lead and his portfolio also includes leadership of information communications and technology. Duncan is Mountbatten's Data Protection Officer.

Duncan has worked at Mountbatten for 10 years prior to this he worked for the NHS. He completed his Masters in Voluntary Sector Management in 2023, achieving a distinction. 

In 2023 an agreement was put in place for Duncan to spend a third of his time working with Oakhaven Trust Hospice, a collaborative initiative to share expertise, as part of this development Duncan joined Mountbatten’s senior management team in 2024.
