It's not just about sunflowers for Mountbatten Isle of Wight, at the Isle of Wight Festival 2025, because we are asking you to help us Fight the NHS Cash Cuts to our funding.

Our volunteers will have plenty of sunflower brollies, headbands and brooches to brighten your day of course, but they will also be asking for your help to challenge a decision by NHS health bosses from the integrated care board.

Mountbatten Isle of Wight will be losing £1.4 million from our funding in 2026/7 and £600,000 from this autumn.

Why does this matter?

Mountbatten Isle of Wight needs £10.5 million per year to operate.

Two thirds of that comes from our community — through donations, fundraising, gifts in wills, grants and donations.

One third comes from the NHS, but this is due to be slashed —  which means we may not be able to afford to continue to run some of our vital community services.
