Walk the Wight with Mountbatten Isle of Wight is inspiring some messages of support, today, including from broadcaster, gardener and patron, Alan Titchmarsh, Camp Bestival's Rob Da Bank and Isle of Wight Festival boss, John Giddings.

Alan posted a message on Facebook and Instagram to say: "For all those of you who are walking the Wight today, in aid of Mountbatten, our tremendous hospice, the very best of luck. All power to your legs, all power to your heart.

"If you want company, download from YouTube, Mike Christie's song, Walk the Wight With You - all profits to Mountbatten. It'll spur you along.

"As patron of Mountbatten, I am hugely proud of all it achieves, and hugely proud of you, for having a go.

Good luck!"

Meanwhile, DJ and Camp Bestival's Rob Da Bank posted a photo with Olivia, from our fundraising team.

He said: "Good luck, walkers, runners and riders doing Walk the Wight today. I wish I could say I was doing all 26 miles, but I'm doing five. Shout to the amazing charity, Mountbatten Isle of Wight."

Also walking again is the Isle of Wight Festival boss, John Giddings, who is just weeks away from 2025's huge event, headlined by Justin Timberlake, Stereophonics and Sting.

We caught up with him at the Bembridge start line.

He is walking today wearing a t-shirt in memory of Blondie drummer, Clem Burke, who has played the Isle of Wight Festival.
