Island sixth formers turn Walk the Wight into award‑winning board game From the classroom to the coastline, Island students have turned Walk the Wight with Mountbatten Isle of Wight into an award-winning board game in 2026! Thanks to a group of talented sixth form students, we can now experience Walk the Wight in an entirely different way. Meet Boundless Wight! Above: The sixth form students with Mountbatten CEO, Becky McGregor. Boundless Wight is a Young Enterprise student company from the Island VI Form, made up of young people aged 16 to 19 who have built a real business from scratch as part of their studies. Their idea was simple, to create a Walk the Wight inspired board game that captures the adventure, landscapes and shared experience of crossing the Island. Designed for families, visitors and supporters alike, the game celebrates some of the Isle of Wight's most loved places while encouraging players to explore, connect, and relive the journey in a new way. Crucially, the team has also kept the heart of Walk the Wight at the centre of their business, pledging to donate a portion of their profits to Mountbatten Isle of Wight. Sebastian Flower, CEO of Boundless Wight, said: "We wanted to create something that reflects the spirt of the Island. Walk the Wight is such an important event here, and our game is about bringing that experience to life for everyone, whether you've taken part or not." An award-winning board game Boundless Wight has achieved 'Best Company in the Isle of Wight Young Enterprise Finals' as well as awards for marketing and finance. Judges have praised the team's creativity, resilience, and strong community focus. The team has also ensured sustainability is part of the journey, producing the game using recycled materials.
