“I'm taking on this challenge because I've witnessed, first-hand, the extraordinary work that Mountbatten Isle of Wight does," said Ed, who is one of Mountbatten Isle of Wight's Lapland Husky Trail challengers.

He made it to Kiruna, Sweden and, together with the rest of the team, was transported to overnight accommodation.

"Mountbatten Isle of Wight is very close to my heart. I've done charity car rallies, but nothing like this before,” said Ed.

Watch the video below, which includes part of the group's transfer from the airport to their jumping off point. When the challenge sets off on Monday, they will be sledding alone, controlling their own pack of dogs.
