Darkness falls as The Big Wight Walk heads to Island's east coast PHOTOS and VIDEO

Darkness has fallen over the Isle of Wight, but that isn't stopping The Big Wight Walk's Theresa, Julie and Jane.

Joined by a group of friends and colleagues and setting off along the Island's east coast, the trio are not far from Ventnor, right now.

Not long ago, they arrived at Chale.

"I am a little trepidatious about walking in the dark," admitted Jane, adding, "We're feeling good."

They started walking this morning at 7am and aim to be back at Mountbatten Isle of Wight at 7am tomorrow (Sunday).

Their next stops are Sandown, at 11.30pm and Ryde, at 4.30am!
