Hospices across the country are in crisis, and Mountbatten is no exception.

As NHS funding struggles to keep pace with rising costs and increasing demand, the question becomes urgent: who will support families living with death, dying, and bereavement if we cannot?

Every day, Mountbatten Isle of Wight and Mountbatten Hampshire support around 4,000 people across the Isle of Wight and large parts of Hampshire, providing expert, free end-of-life and palliative care to our communities. From rehabilitation to grief support, we are a lifeline during life’s most challenging moments.

But this lifeline is under threat. Without additional support, we may be forced to cut back on the services that so many rely on.

💛 Your donation could be a lifeline, helping us continue to be there for our community when it matters most.

  • £30 could provide fresh, nutritious meals for a patient in our hospice ward, tailored to their specific needs for an entire day.
  • £70 could offer a personalised physiotherapy session, complete with a rehabilitation plan and access to our specialist gym.
  • £100 could fund a course of bereavement counselling sessions, offering comfort and support to children or adults in need.
  • £250 could ensure a patient receives a full day of personal care, enabling them to stay in the comfort of their own home.
  • £365 could provide overnight care from a qualified Mountbatten nurse, bringing comfort and dignity to a patient in their final moments.
  • £700 could cover the cost of a 24-hour stay in a bed on our inpatient unit, offering round-the-clock expert care and support.

Together, we can ensure that no one faces death, dying, and bereavement alone.
