This November and December 2025, honour the memory of your loved one with Mountbatten Isle of Wight, by dedicating a light and joining us for our cherished annual Light up a Life remembrance event.

This year, Light up a Life will take place on Sunday, 7 December, from 4–6pm at Mountbatten Isle of Wight, Halberry Lane, Newport.

We warmly invite you to light a candle in remembrance, while enjoying festive music and heartfelt readings. Afterwards, join us in the welcoming atmosphere of our John Cheverton Centre community space for a mince pie and a warming drink.

Brian is dedicating a light to his wife, Jan, and daughter, Nikki, who were both cared for by Mountbatten's teams.

"Each year, when I see the lights shining, I feel connected to Nikki and Jan, and to a community of people who understand what it means to miss someone dear."

By dedicating a light and donating, you’ll be helping Islanders receive the 24/7 compassionate care they need, provided by our expert teams in homes across the Island and through our John Cheverton Centre and inpatient unit.
